Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership in Cardiff, for the position of Vehicle Technician.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to join a well-established team within a family-run dealership.

Salary up to £39,000 basic, dependent on experience

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
Adhere to manufacturer and client quality standards, health, and safety procedures
Report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Service Manager
Complete MOT inspections to a high standard (Class 4 MOT qualification preferred, but not essential)
Maintain consistent high-quality work in a busy dealership environment
Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve departmental targets
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all workshop jobs and documentation

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Minimum of 2-3 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician
Class 4 MOT licence preferred; without are still encouraged to apply
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Strong motivation, team-oriented attitude, and commitment to high standards
Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced franchise-approved dealership
