The below job description will outline this position of:
Lead Service Coordinator
Typically, this person will be responsible for coordinating engineers and service activities across the business, managing diaries and workloads, liaising with customers and internal departments, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service function. This role would suit an experienced Service Coordinator looking to step up into a more senior position within the fire and security industry or a similar engineering service environment.
HSB Technical's client is an established and growing fire and security business with a strong reputation for customer service and employee retention. They are looking for an organised and proactive individual to work closely with the Office Manager, engineering teams, sales department, and senior management.
Duties and responsibilities of the Lead Service Coordinator:
- Coordinating and scheduling engineers for service, maintenance, and reactive call-outs
- Managing engineer diaries and ensuring workloads are planned efficiently
- Liaising with customers regarding appointments, updates, and service requirements
- Working closely with the sales team and senior management to support business operations
- Monitoring ongoing jobs and ensuring all works are completed within agreed time frames
- Supporting the administration and coordination of service contracts and documentation
- Assisting with customer queries and providing a high level of customer service
- Ensuring effective communication between engineers, office staff, and management teams
Qualifications and requirements for the Lead Service Coordinator:
- Previous experience within the fire and security industry or a service/engineering coordination environment
- Experience coordinating engineers, scheduling works, or managing service diaries
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Confident liaising with engineers, customers, sales teams, and senior management
- Looking for progression into a more senior coordination or service management role
