Compliance & Data Analyst

Location:

Cardiff or Swansea (Hybrid)
Pay:  £19.54 per hour
Assignment:  Temporary 6 Month Contract

Hours:

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Hybrid working with occasional attendance at either the Cardiff or Swansea office.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance & Data Analyst to join our client's Water Regulations team on a six month temporary assignment.

What will you be doing?

As a Compliance & Data Analyst, you will play a key role in reviewing and maintaining licensing and permitting data, ensuring information is accurate, compliant and up to date. You will support the team by monitoring data, producing reports and responding to stakeholder queries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and validating licensing and permitting data.

• Monitoring datasets to identify trends, discrepancies and potential compliance risks.

• Producing reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.

• Investigating data quality issues and supporting improvements to reporting processes.

• Responding to telephone and email enquiries from internal stakeholders.

• Working closely with colleagues to resolve data and compliance related queries.

• Supporting the maintenance of accurate regulatory records.

• Providing guidance and support to other team members where required.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in a Compliance Analyst, Data Analyst, Regulatory Analyst or similar role.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups and data analysis.

• Experience using Power BI to create reports and dashboards.

• Experience working within a regulated, compliance, governance, environmental or utilities environment.

• Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication skills with confidence handling telephone and email enquiries.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

• Welsh language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
