Salary: £50,000

Location: London or Liverpool, Hybrid/Remote.

Hours: Full-time fixed term contract until October/November 2027 (depends on start date)

Our Diversity and Inclusion Specialist takes a leading role in supporting colleagues across the whole organisation to delivery our Diversity and Inclusion strategy. Focused around three areas: improving the experience of our colleagues, embedding equity into all the work we do, and building a more equitable and inclusive profession. As a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, you will drive initiatives that empower our members to enhance their inclusion and equity skills while nurturing and expanding our internal processes.

• Expert knowledge of equity, diversity and inclusion principles and practices, including a strong understanding of the Equality Act 2010
• A proven track record of driving change within departments through strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build credible relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including volunteers, senior officeholders and external partners
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams with a diplomatic approach to managing competing interests and priorities
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects and programmes independently with multiple objectives and timelines

• Experience completing Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) or similar
• Accessible content development for web
• An understanding or interest in the built environment.
