We're looking for a Compliance Officer to join our motivated and dedicated Compliance team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

About the role

Reporting to the Compliance Assistant Manager (Investigations), you will be responsible for investigating allegations of malpractice and question paper security breaches across our registered schools.

In this role, you will lead investigations into suspected malpractice, assessing evidence with a solutions-focused mindset and working collaboratively with colleagues to reach fair, consistent and evidence-based decisions. Your work will play a vital role in protecting the security, fairness and integrity of our examinations and maintaining trust in Cambridge International qualifications.

You will ensure that investigations are managed promptly, accurately and in accordance with established procedures. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes for investigating allegations of malpractice and question paper security incidents. The decisions you make and communicate to centres and candidates are critical to safeguarding the integrity of examination outcomes and ensuring candidates receive the results they deserve.

Responsibilities

and accountabilities include:
  • Leading on investigations into suspected malpractice; managing cases from initial report or detection through to resolution and communication of outcomes.
  • Owning a diverse caseload of investigations, prioritising competing demands to ensure cases are progressed efficiently and in line with our established procedures.
  • Evaluating facts and evidence to make informed decisions, identifying emerging risks and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Deciding outcomes; ranging from providing guidance and issuing warnings to withholding candidate grades, you will be responsible for communicating fair decisions.
  • Analysing data and trends to identify areas of risk, support continuous improvement, and make recommendations relating to centre performance, sanctions or closure.
  • Reviewing internal processes, procedures and external regulations to ensure compliance with best practice and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Supporting the wider Compliance team as required.
