About the role:The Advice Policy team sits at the heart of St. James's Place's advice proposition, ensuring our advice framework, policies and supporting processes remain up to date, compliant and focused on delivering good client outcomes. Working closely with teams across the business, the team is responsible for implementing policy changes, maintaining advice guidance, supporting governance processes and ensuring advisers have the tools and resources they need to provide high-quality advice.
The Advice Policy Coordinator is responsible for providing implementation and coordination support across a range of Advice Policy initiatives, helping to deliver enhancements to advice guidance, suitability processes and policy frameworks. The role plays a key part in bringing advice policy changes to life, ensuring advisers have the guidance, tools and processes needed to deliver great client outcomes and supporting the ongoing evolution of the SJP advice proposition.
What you'll be doing:- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Advice Framework, Aptus and Advice Assistant releases.
- Assisting with the maintenance and development of suitability letter templates.
- Ensuring policy documents, guidance and supporting materials remain accurate and up to date following approved changes.
- Maintaining document control records and supporting governance processes across the Advice Policy function.
- Managing and resolving queries from Partners, internal stakeholders and support teams, escalating where required.
- Supporting governance forums and helping to capture, track and monitor actions, decisions and outcomes.
- Coordinating change activities to ensure updates are implemented accurately and in line with agreed deadlines.
- Building strong relationships across the business to support collaboration, drive progress and deliver successful outcomes.
- Working closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders and technical teams to support policy and process improvements.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of advice guidance, processes and supporting tools across St. James's Place.
We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused coordinator who enjoys managing change, improving processes and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. You'll be a logical thinker with strong written communication skills, comfortable working with technical information, technology solutions with the ability to support testing and implementation activities.
Essential skills- Experience working within Financial Services, with a broad understanding of financial advice processes, products and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, change activities and governance processes simultaneously.
- Experience supporting change implementation, testing activities, project coordination or governance processes within a business environment.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, concise plain English suitable for a broad audience.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to follow structured processes, identify issues and support the delivery of accurate system, policy or documentation changes.
- LP2, CF1 or equivalent Financial Services qualification, or a willingness to work towards a recognised CII qualification.
