Overview

of role

The Regulatory Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely and compliant reporting of regulatory data submissions. The role acts as a subject matter expert for Performance Commitments, Outcome Delivery Incentives, Price Control Deliverables and Environmental Performance Reporting. The role provides guidance, assurance and technical support across the business. The post holder plays a critical role in annual and quarterly reporting cycles, regulatory submissions, and ongoing assurance activities.

You'll Do

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage all aspects of regulatory reporting, including submissions, methodology statements, risk matrices, and benchmarking.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Performance Commitments, Outcome Delivery Incentives, Price Control Deliverables, Environmental Performance Assessment Measures, and Annual Performance Report Requirements
  • Produce detailed due diligence reports, identifying risks, weaknesses, and recommendations, and monitor implementation of improvement actions.
  • Provide coaching, challenge and support to data owners to strengthen regulatory reports, audit trails and governance across all regulatory data sets.
  • Coach and mentor data owners to maintain accurate methodology statements.
  • Provide regulatory reporting support to the business, giving advice on interpretation of requirements and regulatory expectations as required.
  • Lead due diligence reviews of key non-financial data.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external Assurance/Audit teams.
About You

The following are essential requirements for the recruitment of the role:

Experience
  • Experience working with regulatory reporting requirements, performance reporting or audit processes in a regulated environment.
  • Proven experience collating, validating and presenting complex datasets to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience producing or quality‑assuring formal reports, statements or submissions for regulatory bodies.
  • Experience guiding, coaching or supporting data owners to strengthen data quality and reporting processes.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., Annual Performance Report, Performance Commitments, ODIs, Environmental Performance, Price Control obligations).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interrogate, interpret and reconcile complex data from multiple systems.
  • Strong written communication skills, able to produce clear methodology statements, assurance documentation and performance reports.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong data quality, audit, and assurance awareness.
