Position: Site Engineer (GR1005)

Support Site Agent/Senior Engineer in the safe and timely delivery of a Project (or Section) to ensure that dimensional control and QA processes are undertaken in a timely manner so as to meet Project Programme

Accountability

The Site Engineer is accountable for, but not limited to, the following within each project(s):

Ensuring that works activities are carried out effectively, to agreed programme and specification. Contribute to managing and measuring on site productivity and general performance of project including the performance of sub contractors. Comply with all BMS/SHEQ systems and in accordance with the Company H&S Roles & Responsibilities. Manage & develop team members individual performance, identify strengths and weaknesses in order to contribute to the succession planning.

Responsibilities

The Site Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following for project (s):

  • Manage & comply with all BMS/SHEQ and Company H&S Roles & Responsibilities requirements. Maintain site diary and records.
  • Assist management of site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency at all times, understanding principles of project efficiency and budget constraints. Achieve efficiency of operations working to the agreed project programme.
  • Undertake site engineering function to ensure efficient work operations and assist in production of Technical Queries as directed by Site Agent/Senior Engineer.
  • Assisting with management of site operations to ensure all works are completed to the contract specification and to relevant standards to prevent any remedial action. Comply with ITP requirements with contract specification and to relevant standards. Ensure all works are inspected by a Company representative with the client and are approved & signed off prior to completing section of work. Contribute to As-Built information.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in relation to all site requirements. i.e. HQSE, Programme.
  • Understand and work in accordance with weekly programmes and project milestones, regularly provide updates on progress.
  • Ensure daily material requirement programme is agreed & placed each day with appropriate persons to allow daily operations to be planned efficiently.
  • Assist Site Agent/Senior Engineer in providing information for Cost Plans.

  • CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) (Optional)
