In this role, you will work closely with the Managing Estimator and wider pre‑construction team, providing land and tender appraisals while supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates. You will be responsible for identifying commercial risks and opportunities, carrying out site visits, managing subcontractor enquiries and helping maximise development margins across a range of residential and regeneration projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous estimating experience within the construction sector. Candidates need to live at a commutable distance to the office in Cardiff and have a full UK driving licence.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender submissions and land appraisals.
• Support the identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
• Manage subcontractor enquiries and analyse returned quotations.
• Carry out site visits to assess construction methods and project requirements.
• Work closely with internal project teams and supply chain partners.
• Maintain accurate financial and estimating records.

• Previous estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost planning skills.
• Good knowledge of subcontract procurement and buying processes.
• Strong Excel and IT skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
