Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team on a freelance basis, supporting the successful delivery of high-profile fit-out and refurbishment projects across South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the region's most respected construction contractors, known for delivering high-quality commercial, education, healthcare and public sector schemes.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with the Project and Commercial teams, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of fit-out and refurbishment projects

• Procurement and management of subcontract packages

• Preparation and submission of valuations and applications for payment

• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management

• Variations, change control and value engineering

• Management of subcontractor accounts and payments

• Preparation and agreement of final accounts

• Liaison with clients, consultants and project delivery teams

• Identifying and managing commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry

• Strong fit-out and refurbishment project experience is essential

• Ability to manage multiple packages and stakeholders

• Excellent contractual and commercial knowledge

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Relevant construction qualification preferred

• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
