We're working with a well-established and growing construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across South Wales and the South West. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

• * Supporting the commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account
• * Working closely with the Commercial Director and wider project teams
• * Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and tender documentation
• * Managing subcontract procurement and valuations
  * Supporting cost control, cash flow and reporting
• * Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts
• * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• * Liaising with clients, consultants and internal teams

• * Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role (Assistant or QS level)
• * Background within construction (residential and/or commercial projects)
• * Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
• * Ability to manage workload and work as part of a team
• * Good understanding of standard forms of contract
• * Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial software
• * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards)
