A Quantity Surveyor is required by a Cardiff-based construction consultancy to support its expanding project portfolio across Wales. This permanent position offers a salary between £40,000 and £50,000, dependent on experience. You will manage commercial aspects of schemes from inception to final account, including cost planning, procurement, and contract administration. Working closely with clients and contractors, you will provide accurate financial reporting and ensure projects remain within budget.

The consultancy has a strong pipeline of secured work, providing stability for a commercially astute professional. Prior experience in a similar role is essential, alongside strong communication and numerical skills.

Quantity Surveyor – Cardiff – £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

Following two consecutive years of record sales and profitability, a leading Cardiff-based construction consultancy is continuing to expand and is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. What

You''ll Be Doing:
  • Managing cost consultancy services across all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, estimates, and feasibility reports
  • Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes
  • Undertaking valuations, cost reporting, and change control management
  • Administering contracts and advising clients on commercial matters
  • Attending client meetings and building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of projects
Who We''d Love to Hear From:
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Previous consultancy/private practice Quantity Surveying experience
  • Experience delivering projects across a range of sectors desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
  • Working towards MRICS status or already chartered (preferred but not essential)
  • Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
