We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to help us bring design in-house and raise the craft bar across our product. We're building a dedicated, in-house design function embedded directly in our product teams, and you'll be one of the first designers to shape it. This is a rare opportunity to own the design of the surfaces where 70 million members take action, and to define how design works at Avaaz for the long term.

You’ll design across our highest-impact member surfaces: campaign and petition pages, donation and fundraising flows, post-action and share experiences, and our homepage, with a specific emphasis on mobile‑first experiences. You’ll collaborate as a strategic partner to PMs, engineers, and campaign colleagues, driving the process from initial discovery through to implementation, QA, and post‑launch measurement. Alongside that hands‑on work, you'll help establish the design system, the design rituals, and the shared standards that let quality scale as the team grows.

• Lead innovative design across our highest-impact member surfaces.
  You will be the creative design force behind how we mobilize our global community, crafting deeply engaging experiences that transform how members connect with our campaigns. You will own the end-to-end design, from petition pages and donation flows to post-action sharing, driving the lifeblood of our movement.
• Own and evolve our design system.
  Build and maintain a coherent, reusable, accessible component library so design is consistent across the platform and the team can move faster without reinventing the basics each time.
• Help build the in‑house design practice.
  As one of our first dedicated in‑house product designers, set the standards, critique culture, and ways of working that replace our reliance on external agencies, and help cleanly transition in‑flight work in‑house.
• Partner closely with PMs and engineers.
  Work inside the squad from discovery to delivery, not as a downstream service. Collaborate on scope, pressure‑test feasibility with engineers early, and stay involved through implementation and QA.
• Ground design in member research and evidence.
  Use user research, usability testing, and experiment results (including A/B tests on key flows) to inform and validate your decisions, rather than relying on taste alone.
• Design for a global, multilingual membership.
  Build experiences that work across devices, languages, and contexts, including right‑to‑left languages and strong accessibility, for members in every corner of the world.
• Partner with campaigners and fundraisers.
  Consult with our campaigns and content colleagues on campaign page templates and creative, balancing brand, narrative, and conversion so our pages are both beautiful and effective.
• Raise the craft bar and a shared design vocabulary.
  Bring rigor and consistency to how we talk about and evaluate design, and help colleagues across PED engage with design more confidently.
• Help shape the long-term product and design vision.
  As Avaaz builds toward a more intelligent, modern campaign platform, contribute to a cohesive design language and advocate for the foundational work that makes a great member experience possible.

• Significant experience as a senior product designer shipping consumer‑ or member‑facing digital products end to end, from problem framing through to launch
• A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across both UX and UI: interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
• Expert command of Figma and modern design and prototyping workflows. Bonus if you have familiarity with leveraging AI in your workflows.
• Experience building or meaningfully contributing to a design system or component library
