Freelance Draughtsman ​/ CAD Technician - Facades & Cladding

Job Description Fawkes & Reece are working with an established independent façade contractor based in Cardiff who are seeking an experienced Draughtsman / CAD Technician to join their team on a freelance basis. We are looking for someone with proven experience working on cladding and façade projects, who can provide high-quality technical drawing support across a range of commercial and residential schemes.

The role of Draughtsman / CAD Technician will be site based working on projects in and around Cardiff.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience within the façade and cladding industry is essential Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous) Ability to produce detailed fabrication, construction and installation drawings Strong understanding of façade systems, rainscreen cladding, and associated components Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

The Role:

Preparation and coordination of technical drawings and details Liaising with project teams, contractors and suppliers Assisting with design development and project delivery Freelance opportunity with flexible arrangements available

Benefits Temporary role To start ASAP 12 months work - could continue for the very long term or go permanent for the right candidate. Day rate - £250 to £300 per day ( depending on experience )
