Details:
Start ASAP, ongoing. Mon-Fri. Full or part time considered. Job plan to be negotiated with suitable candidates. Cross-site cover across 2 hospitals. The service is the regional tertiary referral centre for gynaecological cancers across South East Wales and manages over 450 gynaecological cancer surgeries annually, supported by a well-established multidisciplinary team.

We are keen to hear from candidates with:

* Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within six months of CCT/CESR).

* Sub-specialist accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology (or expected completion within six months).

* Experience in the management of gynaecological cancers and advanced surgical techniques.

About the Role

As a locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality care and supporting your clinical team.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with suspected or confirmed gynaecological cancers, including complex surgical decision-making.
Perform and lead major gynaecological oncology surgical procedures, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, contributing to treatment planning and coordination of cancer pathways.
Supervise, teach and support junior medical staff, trainees and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in clinical governance activities, and ensure compliance with NHS and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

On the GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of achieving this)
Previous UK experience
For locums - Full Right to Work in the UK (visa sponsorship is available for substantive applicants if needed)
FRCR accredited
