Moving from a permanent music teacher role is always frightening, but teaching in a school that allows agency enables job satisfaction. Alternatively, this would be a perfect first role for an NQT as you will be surrounded by a supportive department. These temporary music teacher roles will commence on the 5th January 2026 and will continue until the end of the 2025/26 academic year. You will be expected to teach students to play an instrument and to read and understand music.
