Moorland Primary School is situated in the heart of Splott. It is a friendly, diverse and welcoming primary school with a strong community spirit. The school is excited about embracing the new curriculum. We encourage innovative outdoor learning and are fortunate to have a varied outdoor space. A much-loved Early Years garden, well developed Forest School and an Edible Playground provide numerous learning opportunities across the curriculum.

The school has two resource bases for children with complex learning needs. Flying Start provision is also located on site.

We are looking for an early years practitioner with a passion for play and outdoor learning. You will need to have a strong understanding of child development and an ability to make high quality observations of children, and to question effectively. You will need to be committed to helping children to learn through ‘hands on’, authentic experiences and to supporting children to learn through their own fascinations and interests.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
