At Dan y Coed, located in West Cross, Swansea, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where children with autism and complex needs can learn, grow, and thrive. Just minutes away from the beautiful Swansea Bay and the vibrant city centre, our school offers a bright, child-friendly setting where pupils are supported by a dedicated team of educators, care staff, and therapists.

Please Note:

This position involves working with children in a regulated capacity and requires an Enhanced DBS Check, including a Barred List Check.

• Support teachers with lesson planning, assessments, and creative learning approaches.
• Provide high-quality support for small groups of pupils with ASD and complex needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
• Help organise engaging off-site activities and experiences.
• Support pupils with routines, breaks, and personal care where required.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages progress and positivity.

• GCSEs (or equivalent) are valued, and we provide qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Experience with SEN/ASD is welcomed, but not essential—we’ll provide full training and support.
