Part-Time Teaching Assistant (TA) – ASD Experience Required

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate TA to join our supportive school community in Cardiff on a part-time basis.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with ASD, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and thrive in a structured and nurturing environment. This role may involve 1:1 support as well as small group work.

• Provide tailored support for pupils with ASD
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals

• Previous experience supporting children with ASD in a school setting
• Strong understanding of autism and associated learning needs
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential with strong experience)
