Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education (NTT, Montessori, ECE, CIDTT trained) compulsory or bachelor’s degree
- Experience:
Minimum 3 years of early years teaching experience - Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in pedagogy and innovation
- Relevant university credentials in an academic field
- Secondary license or certification for teaching the subject would be an added plus
- Experience as a Teacher in early years’ education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language proficiency)
- Ability to differentiate instruction for all learners
- Ability to participate in and establish collaborative structures
- Proven ability to develop successful academic programs
- Willingness to moderate assignments at all levels to ensure collective understanding of achievement
- Willingness to reinforce mission and core values of the organisation
- Ability to use learning data to explore and improve teaching and learning practices
- Ability to engage students in learning activities using a variety of current technologies and online platforms
- Basic computer skills including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 8.30/9 am – 3.30/4pm (7 hours)

- Possess excellent English language skills – verbal and written

- Curriculum Delivery – The Head Teacher works with the Center Director and in collaboration with the Curriculum/Program Coordinator and other head teachers to implement planned lesson plans to support the holistic development for children aged 2 years to 6 years. Supports the achievement of learning outcomes of all the learners and supervises. Instruct learners in a classroom setting according to the curriculum and learning domains.
Perform formative and summative assessments and contribute to the development of assessment strategies and arrangements for the key learning areas. Highlight any developmental delays and adopt inclusive practices to support each child in their learning journey in consultation with the PLs/PCs and the CD. Bring in innovative methodologies and provide feedback on curriculum design to ensure currency and relevance. - Team Work – Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop and enhance curriculum, pedagogy, and teaching/learning and overall service delivery. Coordinate with the curriculum coordinator and centre team for events and curriculum activities. Mentor, collaborate with fellow teachers (e.g., Buddy role) for newly joined facilitators and care staff in the classroom. Demonstrate creativity, initiative, collaboration and resourcefulness in supporting teams and the CD in achieving centre goals.
Communicate timely with management on urgent matters. - Health & Safety – Establish and maintain a positive and safe physical and emotional climate in the classroom and centre. Ensure child development, safety and wellness by following all policies and procedures. Maintain an environment conducive to learners’ development.
- Parent Connect – Partner with parents to discuss child progress and needs. Share weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual learning samples as planned. Manage ongoing parent communications regarding learning and care. Address escalations with the CD as needed.
- Professional & Personal Development – Participate in mandatory skill enhancement, workshops and trainings aligned with global practices. Stay updated with syllabus changes, NEP requirements, and entry requirements for progression to higher education, alongside global practices.
- Classroom Code of Conduct – Respect every team member, promote professionalism, and model ethical behavior. Maintain punctuality, decorum and responsible conduct; support colleagues as needed.
- Additional Skills – Basic computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with diverse cultures and nationalities; ability to differentiate instruction and use learning data to improve teaching and learning practices
