Children & Young People Trainee Assessor (CYP)

We have an amazing opportunity for a Trainee Children and Young People CYP.

Are you experienced in the Children & Young People sector and ready to inspire the next generation? This is an exciting opportunity to move into a rewarding training and assessing career where you can make a real impact.

As a Trainee Assessor, you will support apprenticeship learners through structured guidance, workplace assessments, and tailored development plans. You’ll help them build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in their careers while ensuring high standards of training and compliance are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

* Support and assess learners in their workplace settings

* Develop and review Individual Learning Plans

* Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records

* Provide constructive feedback and coaching

* Travel across a regional area to carry out assessments

Qualifications & Experience

* Proven occupational experience within the Children & Young People sector

* Relevant training experience (desirable)

* Recognised teaching or assessing qualification such as TAQA, CAVA, or A1 (desirable)

* Willingness to undertake DBS clearance and relevant professional registration

Skills & Requirements

* Full UK driving licence

* Access to your own vehicle

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Ability to motivate and support learners

* Good IT and administrative skills

* Ability to work independently and manage a regional caseload

* Welsh speaking skills (desirable)
