Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Teacher of Humanities to work in a welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in Cardiff. The school is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable teacher who can deliver engaging Humanities lessons, with Religious Education (RE) experience desirable.
This role is available to start as soon as possible, with a latest start date of 13 April, and will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential for the role to continue into the 2026/27 academic year for the right candidate.
The Role
Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons at KS3 and KS4
Teach Religious Education where possible within the timetable
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
Contribute positively to the school’s learning environment and ethos
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Has experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
Experience teaching Religious Education is desirable but not essential
Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to student progress
