Are you passionate about supporting young learners in a primary school setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Cardiff. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment in the foundation phase.
Based in Cardiff, the position involves working closely with the Class Teacher to provide high-quality support for children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere, assisting with behaviour management, and supporting both group and individual activities. This is a fantastic chance for aspiring education professionals or those with prior experience working with children to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide general support within the classroom to facilitate daily operations
* Collaborate with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver engaging learning activities
* Support a positive and inclusive environment for all students
* Assist with behaviour management and student engagement strategies
* Support individual and small group learning tasks as directed
* Help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom setting
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team
* Enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the classroom
* Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE units) are advantageous
This Primary School Teaching Assistant role in Cardiff offers a rewarding environment for individuals passionate about education and nurturing young minds. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of £92.59 per day, depending on experience.
