SEN Teaching Assistant – Cardiff

Full-Time | Term Time Only | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay: £98–£105 per day

Supply Hive Wales are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work full‑time in a specialist SEN school in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning needs and helping them feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, behavioural needs and complex learning needs. You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment.

You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping with classroom activities, daily routines, emotional regulation and personal development. The school is looking for someone reliable, resilient and able to build strong relationships with pupils.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, Term time only

£98–£105 per day, depending on experience

• Have experience working with children or young people
• Be calm, patient and confident supporting pupils with additional needs
• Be reliable, positive and willing to get stuck in
• Have good communication skills
• Work well as part of a team
• Have SEN, care, youth work, coaching or school‑based experience
