Healthy and Fitness Education (HFE) Sports Massage Teacher

Health and Fitness Education (HFE) is an award‑winning training and qualification provider to the fitness industry, delivering a wide range of qualifications across the UK, including the Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy.

You will teach and assess the practical aspects of the sports massage therapy qualification at various training venues throughout the UK. You must follow the timetable, lesson plan and resources supplied, while shaping the customers’ experience with your expert knowledge.

As a new tutor you will be paired with a Senior Tutor for on‑the‑job training and will work as a freelancer, being allocated courses based on availability and skill set. Most courses are delivered on weekends, with mid‑week opportunities occasionally available.

• Deliver high‑standard training and assessment for the practical components of the qualification.
• Teach the course in accordance with the provided timetable, lesson plan and resources.
• Shape the customer experience by applying your professional expertise.
• Work independently after initial training with Senior Tutors.

• At least 2 years’ experience as a massage therapist in the health and fitness sector.
• A genuine hunger to help others realize their potential and to increase career prospects.
• Service‑focused attitude and willingness to exceed customers’ expectations.
• Strong communication skills and demonstration of sensitivity and empathy.
• Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (or equivalent).
• Relevant teaching qualification – candidates working towards an Award, Certificate, Diploma in Education and Training (PTLLS, DTLLS, CTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE) may be considered.
• Relevant vocational assessing qualification – candidates working towards D32/33, A1/A2, CAVA, AVRA may be considered.
• Exclusive commercial commitment to HFE – tutors cannot work for other commercial training providers.

Expenses and enhancements are also covered as required. Rates are reviewed annually in line with the consumer price index.
