Lecturer in Law – Teaching & Scholarship

School of Law and Politics

We are seeking lecturers (Grade
7) in Law to join the School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality teaching in Medical Law, Land Law, Equity & Trusts Law, Tort Law and Public Law, including weekend teaching of the Legal Aspects of Medical Practice Masters programme.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Contribute to the administration and management of the Law School.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the scholarship of learning and teaching.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Law or an equivalent professional qualification in Law or a cognate field.
  • Strong teaching experience and a record of research or scholarship in the specified areas of law.
  • Demonstrated potential to contribute to the department’s research agenda.
Benefits
  • Salary range: £51,753 – £56,535 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
  • Full‑time (35 hours) or part‑time roles available.
  • Flexible working arrangements and job‑share options considered.
  • Appointment to Grade 7, usually at the bottom of the salary scale unless exceptional circumstances apply.
