Lecturer in Law – Teaching and Research

School of Law and Politics.

The School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Grade 6/7) in Law.

Responsibilities and qualifications

The successful candidate will be, or have the potential to be, an excellent teacher and scholar; and have obtained or be near completion of a postgraduate degree at PhD level in a related subject area by the time the appointment begins or equivalent professional expertise in Law or a cognate field by the time the appointment begins; and have an ambitious research agenda that supports and/or expands the School’s current research strengths.

The specific area of legal research expertise and teaching within Law is AI/cybersecurity.

The post holder may also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and contribute to the successful administration and management of the Law School.

This post is full time (35 hours), open-ended and available immediately.

Salary: £41,064 – £46,049 per annum (Grade
6) or £51,753 – £56,535 per annum (Grade
