This is a contract, Bank Trainer role based in Cardiff. The Bank Trainer will deliver engaging basic life support, first aid and clinical training sessions to a range of learners, including workshops, simulations, and skills-based practical sessions. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and training materials, adapting content to different experience levels, and ensuring all teaching aligns with current clinical guidelines and organisational standards.
The trainer will assess learner performance, provide constructive feedback, and complete required documentation, including attendance, assessments, and course reports. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge, participating in quality improvement of training programs, and collaborating with other trainers and administrative staff to ensure smooth delivery of courses.
- Proven experience delivering first aid, pre-hospital care, clinical or healthcare training, with the ability to facilitate both theory and practical skills sessions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage diverse learner groups.
- Ability to plan, structure, and evaluate training sessions, including preparing materials and using varied teaching methods.
- Comfort with maintaining accurate training documentation and adhering to quality, governance, and safeguarding standards.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
- Recognised teaching, training, or education qualification.
- Flexibility to work on a bank/contract basis and to attend on-site training days in Cardiff as required.
