Salary: £13,465.56 per annum pro rata (based on FTE £31,143)

An exciting opportunity at Cardiff and Vale College for a Progress Coach within the Sport, Tourism and Public Services provision.

• Support learners in a pastoral role, including target setting, motivation and attitude to learning.
• Provide one-to-one support, set targets, implement interventions to improve performance, and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor learner progress, liaise with parents or guardians, and deliver engaging personal development sessions.
• Work closely with curriculum teams to identify and support at-risk learners, ensuring successful outcomes and progression.
• Promote participation in the Personal Tutorial programme, support Learner Voice activity and address behaviour concerns in line with college policies.

• Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for supporting learners in a Sport, Tourism and Public Services setting.
• Is Inspirational, Inclusive, and Influential, embracing CAVC values in interactions with learners, colleagues, and partners.
• Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not essential; ability to engage students in Welsh is welcomed.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence in late August in preparation for the new academic year.
