Empowering Primary School Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential? New Directions Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Cardiff.

We have a variety of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term assignments and long-term placements, with both full-time and part-time roles available.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within the classroom.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Support children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language and SEMH.
• Promote positive behaviour and help create an inclusive learning environment.
• Prepare classroom resources and provide general classroom support.

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting.
• A positive, patient and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
