Are you a passionate Drama specialist looking to inspire the next generation of performers?
A large and well-respected college in Cardiff is seeking an enthusiastic A2 Drama Lecturer to join their performing arts department on a part-time basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lecturer or qualified Drama teacher who is passionate about developing students' practical performance skills, theatrical knowledge, and confidence as they prepare for further education and careers within the creative industries.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to A-Level learners, helping them achieve excellent academic outcomes while fostering creativity, collaboration, and a genuine love for the performing arts.
The Role
Deliver high-quality teaching of A2 Drama and Theatre Studies
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate learners
Support students with practical performance, devising, script analysis, and written coursework
Prepare students for examinations and assessed performances
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment within the performing arts department
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) or has relevant lecturing experience
Has strong subject knowledge within Drama and Theatre Studies
Possesses experience teaching at A-Level, FE, or secondary level (KS5)
Can build positive relationships with learners and colleagues
Is passionate, creative, and committed to student success
Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
