Elementa Support Services is partnering with a welcoming Welsh-medium secondary school in Cardiff to find an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistants who are ready to step up, inspire learners, and support fantastic teaching teams.

• Leading pre-planned lessons when teachers are absent
• Supporting engaging, inclusive learning across the classroom
• Working with individuals and small groups to boost confidence and achievement
• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEND to reach their full potential
• Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
• Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding
• Playing an active role in school life alongside teachers and leadership teams

You’ll ideally have:

• Fluency in Welsh (essential for the role)
• HLTA status or substantial experience in a similar role
• UK school-based experience supporting teaching and learning
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Confidence leading whole-class learning
• EWC registration (or be happy to obtain it)
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (we can help)

• Experience across KS1-KS4
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN/SEND
• A flexible, proactive approach and a great sense of teamwork
