Aspire People are excited to be recruiting for a Food Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Cardiff on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis, with an ASAP start available.

The Role- ASAP start available
- Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in a supportive Cardiff secondary school
- Competitive pay rate of £16.11 per hour
- Prepare ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical Food Technology lessons
- Support teachers and pupils during practical cooking activities
- Maintain food preparation areas, kitchens, and equipment to a high standard
- Monitor stock levels and order ingredients and supplies when required
- Ensure food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with displays, events, competitions, and whole-school projects
- Support students in developing confidence and practical life skills through food education

- Previous experience working within a school, food technology department, catering environment, or similar setting
- Good understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is desirable or willingness to register
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning
