The Role

Are you an experienced Welsh Language specialist looking to move into Further Education, or an established Welsh Language Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?

Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across South Wales to recruit experienced Lecturers in Welsh Language.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your subject knowledge, professional experience and teaching skills to support the next generation of learners, helping students develop their knowledge and skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.

Working within a Further Education setting, you will:
  • Deliver engaging Welsh Language teaching across relevant programmes
  • Support learners developing their written and spoken Welsh
  • Plan lessons appropriate to a range of abilities and confidence levels
  • Prepare learners for relevant examinations and assessments
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Encourage learners to develop confidence using Welsh in education and employment
  • Monitor attendance, progress and achievement
  • Support learners with SEN/ALN where required
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
  • Promote the use of Welsh within the wider FE environment
What We're Looking For
  • Fluent Welsh language skills - essential
  • Relevant qualification in Welsh Language, Welsh Studies, Education or a related subject
  • Strong written and spoken Welsh
  • Experience teaching or supporting Welsh language learners is desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant Welsh language qualifications and assessment requirements
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Teaching qualification desirable
  • FE experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
