The Weobley and Staunton Benefice is a strong rural community set amid the stunning landscapes of north-west Herefordshire. Here, ancient churches are an important part of village life and there is a genuine desire to grow in faith and service together. Supported by a Benefice Joint Council and administrator, and encouraged by congregations whose attendance has largely recovered to pre-Covid levels, we look to the future and its challenges, with confidence and hope.

From the historic black-and-white village of Weobley to the peaceful beauty of the surrounding countryside, this is a place where ministry can be both rewarding and life-giving. With excellent schools in the benefice and within easy reach of Hereford with its cathedral, culture and transport links, our benefice offers a rare combination of rewarding ministry, supportive communities and outstanding quality of life.

Our church communities, now drawn closer together, are diverse and inclusive. Our congregations, now back to pre covid levels, include people at widely different stages of their spiritual journey and so we seek an incumbent with a caring heart and the desire to provide Christian ministry, pastoral encouragement and the inspiration to lead new evangelistic activities.

We seek a person of clear faith who walks with Christ and leads by word and example; an encourager who will help us see the direction in which God is leading us and support us in our journey.
