At Ireleth St Peter’s CE Primary School, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated EYFS teacher to join our wonderful school family. This unique opportunity also includes the possibility of becoming our Orcina Early Years Lead, helping to drive forward innovative Early Years development work through our partnership projects.

We are incredibly proud of our caring ethos, strong relationships and happy, motivated children who embody our school values every day. As part of the Furness Primary Federation, staff benefit from working collaboratively across a family of schools, sharing expertise and accessing high-quality professional development opportunities.
We are also proud to work in partnership with Orcina Ltd, whose generous support enables us to deliver innovative, funded projects that enrich learning, improve academic outcomes, and create exciting opportunities for pupils, staff and families. Combined with our commitment to staff wellbeing, leadership development and career progression, ISP offers a truly rewarding and supportive environment in which to teach and grow professionally.

Our school offers:

  • Happy, enthusiastic children who love learning
  • Strong partnerships with parents, governors, church and the wider community
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development
  • Exciting curriculum development opportunities
  • Beautiful outdoor surroundings and opportunities for outdoor learning
  • A forward-thinking leadership team with high aspirations for all pupils
  • A strong collaborative partnership with the Furness Primary Federation and Orcina Ltd
  • The chance to make a real difference in a small school where every child matters

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach within our Nursery and Reception provision for 3 days each week
  • Create a stimulating, nurturing and language-rich Early Years environment
  • Champion high-quality provision and outcomes for all children
  • Support the continued development of our EYFS curriculum and provision
  • Support in the development of Orcina Early Years projects and initiatives across school
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external partners
  • Foster strong relationships built on care, respect and high expectations

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for Early Years education
  • Has strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework
  • Understands the importance of play, language and early communication
  • Has high expectations for all children
  • Is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child, including those with SEND and additional needs, is supported, challenged and empowered to flourish both academically and personally.
  • Is creative, enthusiastic and reflective
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Will fully support the Christian ethos and values of our school
