We now have an exciting opportunity for a Work based learning Practitioner in Health and Social Care. This role is Welsh essential, therefore the successful candidate will be at a level B1 and willing to learn Welsh through a tailored professional development plan provided by the college
What you will do- Assess the full range of qualifications within the relevant subject area in line with Awarding organisation requirements linked to skills and occupational competence.
- Work with a caseload of learners across North Wales, determined by the relevant college caseload formula
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis for learners, enrolment on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.
- Deliver underpinning knowledge sessions to learners either on a 1-1 or workshop basis (recommended maximum group size
8) . - Monitor learners' progress towards qualifications, give them constructive feedback and guide them to prepare an e-portfolio of evidence
- Assess learner portfolios and present completed portfolios for internal quality assurance.
- Be qualified at a minimum level 3 or above in Health and Social Care
- Proven industry experience in Health and Social care with adults
- Possess or be willing to work towards an assessor qualification (TAQA)
- Possess or be willing to work towards a Quality Assurance qualification (Currently 401 TAQA Unit).
- Level 2 English/Welsh and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
- Possess or be willing to work towards a Digital Literacy Level 2 qualification
- Experience in liaising and partnering with external managers in the industry
- Able to plan and manage own workload, ensuring deadlines are met
- Able to demonstrate personal resilience to cope with a range of difficult situations
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education
- Able to communicate effectively through the medium of Welsh
