Construction Lecturer - Foundation Learning | South Wales

Aspire People are looking for a Construction Lecturer to support Foundation Learning learners across South Wales.
This is not a traditional mainstream lecturing role. The successful candidate will have genuine experience working with Entry Level learners and learners who may require additional support, differentiation and encouragement to engage with education.
The Role- Deliver engaging Construction sessions to Foundation Learning learners
- Teach and support Entry Level learners, including E2/E3
- Adapt teaching and practical activities to different abilities and needs
- Support learners with ALN, behaviour and engagement
- Plan, assess and monitor learner progress
- Maintain positive relationships and create an inclusive learning environment
- Complete relevant administration and quality assurance activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
- Recognised qualification in Construction or relevant Foundation Learning teaching experience
- Experience teaching Entry Level learners, ideally E2/E3
- Experience supporting learners with ALN
- Experience working with challenging behaviour or learners disengaged from education
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE, or willingness to work towards one
- Experience in teaching, assessment and quality assurance
- Relevant training in ALN, behaviour support, trauma-informed practice or learner wellbeing
- Minimum 5 GCSEs Grade C/4 or equivalent
- Strong communication, organisation and IT skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Ability to travel between locations when required
- NVQ Assessor Award
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Award
- Experience with Pearson/BTEC or other awarding bodies
- Welsh language skills or willingness to undertake training
