Do you have experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD?

Are you adaptable, proactive and able to think on your feet in a busy primary school environment?

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a supportive primary school based in the CF3 area of Cardiff, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and educational abilities.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a part-time, temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting primary-aged pupils with ASD and ADHD, adapting to their individual learning needs, assisting with classroom activities and providing consistent support to help pupils engage positively with their education.

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
• Experience supporting children with ALN, particularly ASD and ADHD
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• The ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations
• A patient, positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning
