Attendance Co-ordinator

This permanent Attendance Co-ordinator post sits in the Attendance Department at Abbeyfield School, part of Creative Education Trust, and works alongside pastoral and safeguarding colleagues. The core of the job is monitoring attendance data, following up on absences and putting interventions in place to remove barriers to students attending. The role runs for 37 hours a week over 39 weeks a year, with regular contact with parents, carers and students.

Fit depends on administrative experience and passing an enhanced DBS check.

• Monitor student attendance data
• Follow up on student absences with families
• Work with pastoral and safeguarding teams to remove barriers to attendance
• Communicate with parents, carers, students and staff
• Manage sensitive information with discretion
• Support students to attend regularly and thrive
• Help drive excellent attendance across the school

• Experience working in an administrative role, handling confidential information accurately

• Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence building relationships with students, families and colleagues
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
