- Cardiff Up to £52,000 plus £2,550 callout & 10% bonus Joining our Rod and Bar Mill team as an Electrical Engineer, youll be working on some of the largest pieces of kit and machinery youll find in the industry.

Some of your responsibilities will include Plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage electrical activities, for example planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs.

Undertake development performance reviews for electrical craftspeople.

Ensure that risk assessments, method statements and permits are created, implemented and followed.

Estimate the cost, time, and resources required for repair and improvement projects.

Work directly with engineers in other disciplines and shift managers to ensure effective running of the process.

Working within the wider Engineering Management Team, youll be leading and managing projects as well as a team of Electrical Technicians.

Analysis, design and planning are important responsibilities, as well as being down on the plant and getting stuck in.

You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer, who is passionate about continuous learning and is always looking to widen their skillset.

You will have experience in a heavy industry environment, and enjoy hands on, practical engineering.

You will need Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience of SCADA/HMI and PLC systems Strong knowledge and experience of large AC/DC motor controls, invertors and converters Hands on engineer who will do what it takes to keep the plant running
