We are a leading provider of full life‑cycle engineering solutions for transport infrastructure.
The OpportunityJoin our Consulting Rail division as a permanent Senior Rail Systems and Design Integration Engineer. We work on major UK programmes such as Northern Powerhouse Rail, Eastern Routes Partnership, and Cardiff Crossrail.
Key ProjectsWe support large programmes across the UK, delivering integrated rail solutions across all Network Rail stages and disciplines.
The roleYou’ll play a pivotal role in delivering innovative rail solutions across rolling stock integration, infrastructure, operations, and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Apply Systems Engineering techniques to define, integrate and deliver whole railway system engineering solutions
- Support requirements management and V&V activities, including developing project requirements, managing change and integrating complex interface areas
- Manage the periodic reporting of metrics and support validation activities against the requirements
- Produce and implement Systems Integration Plans (SIP), Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP), and S‑RAM plans
- Prepare and review technical reports and programme work programmes
- Act as the deputy to the CEM on a wide range of design projects, applying Systems Engineering techniques to define and deliver quality engineering solutions
- Manage the allocation of project requirements and support V&V activities
- Prepare and review action logs, project programmes and cross‑discipline requirements
- Collaborate with Technical Directors and Practice Leads to drive technical excellence
- Experience applying systems engineering processes in the rail sector
- Demonstrable experience in requirements management and V&V within multi‑disciplinary rail projects
- Proven track record in delivering rail engineering designs
- Professional registration at Chartered or Incorporated Engineer level
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
