Job

As QA Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution and reporting of test programs performed by a team of Hardware QA Engineers in the HID PACS Business Area.

Join our Quality Assurance team and support hardware validation, firmware regression, and system testing. You’ll help develop automated test processes, contribute to key reports, and play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our PACS Core products.

Essential Duties
  • Displays solid understanding of core fundamental concepts.
  • Focused on growing as an engineer, learning the team’s tools and current processes, and developing productivity skills, as well as learning about engineering best-practices.
  • Capable of taking well-defined tactical sub-tasks from a larger project and completing these tasks in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Focused on learning about a specific component or product sub-area and mastering that component.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Primary Duties
  • Can interpret and carry out a Test Plan.
  • Able to perform tests to a given script (Manual or Automated).
  • Able to identify defects reliably.
  • Able to communicate defects accurately using suitable and appropriate tools.
  • Able to diagnose issues and eliminate setup errors prior to reporting.
  • Able to compile and publish a Test Report.
  • Aware of functional and non-functional testing techniques.
  • Aware of a range of tools and techniques for test automation.
  • Contributes to improving delivery.
  • Understands the importance of evidence-based analysis.

    Able to extend existing automated Test Solutions with new Test Cases.
  • Able to interpret and build to wiring diagrams as required.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires:
    An Engineering degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Requirements
  • Compliance with all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
