Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

• Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and deal with machine down-time efficiency.
• Action repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.
• Electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance.
• Provide assistance in troubleshooting and identification of equipment problems.
• Maintain relationships with production operators to foster a good team environment when working on the equipment.
• Write SOPs and other technical documents in support of the engineering department as well as the end users.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices.

• Apprentice trained engineer.
• Experienced shift engineer in a high-volume continuous production manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical capability with mechanical engineering pedigree (familiar with pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical systems) with basic level of competence in electrical systems and control.
• High competence in workshop skills.
• Ability to work at height (IPAF trained).

Salary - £41000 + Shift allowance
Shift - 22:00 - 06:00
Location - Cardiff Docks
Holidays - 22 days plus bank holidays
Pension - Auto Enrolment
