OverviewOur Water Consultancy Division leads flood risk services, delivering assessments and Nature Based Solutions. This role supports the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes and reservoir flood studies using leading hydraulic modelling tools.
Responsibilities- Develop and validate hydraulic models using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and ICM.
- Deliver Flood Risk Assessments and reservoir flood studies.
- Conceptualise and scope hydraulic modelling approaches.
- Produce high‑quality client reports and undertake hydrological assessments.
- Mentor and train junior staff through the modelling lifecycle.
- Engage in project management and business development activities, representing the division to clients.
- Experience delivering flood risk management studies.
- Proficient with hydraulic modelling software (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC‑RAS, ICM).
- Degree in hydrology, geography, mathematics, civil engineering or related discipline.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Self‑organised with ability to prioritise workload independently.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental priorities.
- Chartered status with an appropriate professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, IMA).
- Professional consultancy experience in flood modelling and risk management.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS and Python.
