Senior / Principal Civil Design Engineer - Water & Energy Sectors

• Up to £60k (Senior) or £70k (Principal) + package

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering design consultancy with a strong and growing presence across the water, energy and heavy industrial sectors. Based from their office in South Wales, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding in‑house design team working on exciting, multi‑disciplinary projects.

You'll take technical ownership of a portfolio of projects - from outline through to detailed design, working collaboratively with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain. You'll also play a key role in leading and mentoring junior engineers within the team.

• Preparation of outline and detailed civil designs to relevant standards
• Design calculations, reports, drawings and BIM‑led deliverables
• Project management - budgets, programmes, quality and H&S compliance
• Leading and developing team members
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience in water and/or energy sectors
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Codes of Practice
• Confident leading teams and mentoring junior engineers
• Chartered or working towards chartership (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence

• Up to £55k (Senior) or £70k (Principal) dependent on experience
