Design Engineer South Yorkshire

Our client is an industry-leading Research & Development Company that has, over the past 9 years, developed an exciting new technology that has already revolutionised one market. They are now seeking innovative design engineers to join their team and expand their technology into other new markets.

We are recruiting on their behalf for a Design Engineer to support the delivery of innovative new product solutions. This involves designing technology products from concept to prototype development, test & validation, and specification to manufacture.

• Concept design and layout of products
• Communicate ideas with drawings, sketches, and support with any technical calculations using engineering theory
• Detail development from design layout to achieve functional requirement and allow manufacture and assembly of components
• Define materials to be used in designs and the manufacturing processes to create them
• Test models, develop and report
• Provide solutions to problems and initiate improvements to resolve

• BEng in mechanical engineering or another relevant design or engineering discipline
• Experience in the design and engineering of industrial machinery
• A hands‑on approach to the design and development of product solutions for industrial applications
• High level CAD skills (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks), with Solidworks preferred
• Experience delivering a full 3D CAD database and drawings for the manufacture of finished products
