Water Technician

Water Technician – South Wales, UK

MSS Water Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Water Technician based in South Wales, UK. This full‑time, permanent role involves regular travel to client sites covering water hygiene, sampling, monitoring and disinfection services. Training is provided.

As a Water Technician you will help clients remain compliant with water hygiene regulations. Your duties include routine testing, monitoring, sampling, system disinfections and practical service delivery.

• Carry out routine water hygiene tasks such as temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems, water sampling and processing, TMV servicing, shower head and outlet cleaning, tank and system chlorination, and mains disinfections.
• Conduct basic inspections of water systems.
• Take and interpret dip slides where required.
• Accurately record findings using digital reporting tools.
• Provide clear, helpful advice to clients onsite.
• Support new team members with on‑the‑job training as needed.
• Work flexibly around site access requirements (e.g., after‑school hours, holidays).

• A full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
• Basic IT skills (email, Excel, digital forms).
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• A positive, professional approach with a willingness to learn.

• Experience in the water hygiene or water treatment industry.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Awareness of guidance and legislation such as ACoP L8, HSG
  274, HTM 04‑01, BS EN 806, or the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.
