We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our engineering team in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer with strong knowledge of gas, petrol, or diesel engines to play a key role in maintaining and optimising power generation installations across customer sites.
Working within a supportive and highly skilled team, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations
- Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance activities
- Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably
- Optimise operational performance to improve productivity and reduce downtime
- Deliver excellent customer service while working on client sites
- Complete all work in line with company safety standards and procedures
- Participate in the on‑call rota and respond to out‑of‑hours call‑outs when required
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- ONC/D, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds Level 2, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Studies, or a related discipline
- Experience as a time‑served technician within a mechanical engineering environment
- A minimum of three years' relevant engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of gas, petrol, or diesel engines
- Good IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- A full UK driving licence
