Our client is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Cardiff which involves supporting multi‑disciplinary project delivery across a wide range of building sectors. You will be part of a team delivering high-quality mechanical design and technical solutions across complex schemes within the region and beyond.

You will deliver coordinated mechanical designs, contribute to technical strategy, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. The role requires someone capable of managing their own workload, handling multiple project demands, and supporting the delivery of consistent, high‑quality engineering output.

• Deliver detailed mechanical designs and engineering solutions
• Produce clear specifications, calculations and reports
• Utilise Revit, AutoCAD and similar tools for design development
• Attend design team meetings, client sessions and site inspections
• Support delivery of multi‑disciplinary projects and coordinate with other disciplines
• Manage individual tasks and potentially small standalone projects
• Support innovation, process improvements and technical quality
• Communicate engineering detail clearly, verbally and in writing

• Proven track record delivering mechanical engineering work across complex building projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and associated mechanical services
• Experience in consultancy and multi‑disciplinary environments
• Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD and relevant analysis tools
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of applicable British Standards
• A collaborative and adaptable approach, with strong attention to detail
